Creating your country in a manner that the GM gets also a good look at it
In shortly
1. State your geographic position, size and other details relevant to your country's idea.
2. The GM(s) will put the country on the map.
3. Make a thread for your country.
4. Make some extra posts in it to reserve them for later details.
5. Create your armed forces. Pick a number, quality and other details. Maybe using those reserved posts you made earlier.
6. Declare when your thread is open.
7. Start posting!
More verbosely
1. Think about the nation and its concept you want to play as. What it is called? Is it a dictatorship or democracy or something between? Wealthy or impoverished? Industrialized or resource extraction-based? How many ethnicities and cultures live within its borders? What creeds are professed in it? Does it have political parties or powerful interest groups? Left-right or some other division? Population and land area, where precisely? These are the things you can tell here while requesting admission into the game. Think about also what your nation, your stable of characters seek to enact beyond existing.
2. The GM(s) will put you onto the world map as soon as possible.
3. Start your nation thread in the game sub-forum and put the information you came up with in the previous step into it. This thread will be the primary 'home' for your domestic events and narration.
4. Everything doesn't have to be in place for you to be able to start. Put down the opening post and make few more posts to reserve them for later additions. This way you can have the relevant information always at the start of the thread.
5. Create your country's armed forces. Refer to the armed forces rules thread to see how.
6. Start writing! Use something in the real world and history or fiction as starting point. Or perhaps the GM has some first problems to solve at once for you waiting in the private messages inbox. Start a scandal, intervene abroad, scheme to undercut your rivals and grandstand.
